Danny Vee slams ‘playboys’

Danny Vee, who is enjoying the success of his second album “Ndozvazviri”, went further to criticise the likes of Sniper Storm (Donald Chirisa), Mzimba The Chairman (Webster Manjoro), Desmond “Stunner” Chideme and Rockford Josphats who he alleges have countless children with different women.

It is not clear if the outspoken 22-year-old was dragging the names of fellow musicians in the mud in order to gain mileage for his music but he insisted he knows the artistes well from working with them for years.

“I have worked with these artistes on a number of projects and I know how they live. They are a promiscuous bunch and every day I tell myself that I do not want the fame to get into my head that way. I am happy, however, that I am recording success with my songs playing on radio stations, Star FM, Power FM and Zi-FM,” he said.

Denny Vee’s album carries eight tracks, one of them “Taimbodaiso” that features Alishias Maskiri Musimbe and Mzimba. The song is among the Future Hits on Star FM. The rest of the songs bring out the outspoken youngster’s mindset and as jaw-dropping as they may be, they are getting him recognition.

“My music is inspired by things that happen to me as well as around me, whether good or bad. The love songs are centred upon my relationships, like the song ‘Type Yebebi’ that I wrote during the time I was dating a girl who was out to use me and was after money. The other songs are also inspired by friendships and other events in my life,” he said.

Urban grooves artiste Mzimba (28) dismissed the promiscuity claims.
“That guy is crazy. Either way, if a person can look after his own children, what then is the problem? The Bible actually encourages men to multiply and fill the earth. It only seems awkward when artistes do it since they are in the public domain. Any man is free to make his own decisions as long as he can stand by them. For the record, I have three children only and one along the way with only one woman,” he said.
