“Preparations for the tournament are at an advanced stage. A total of eight provinces, Bulawayo, Mat South, Midlands, Masvingo, Harare, Manicaland, Mash West and Mash East have confirmed their participation at one of the country’s biggest event.
“So far we have 17 men and 10 women’s teams but we are expecting more teams to register and turn out for the annual event.
“Each province is allowed to field three men and two women teams while the host province will field four men and three woman teams,” Moyo said.
He expects stiff competition.
“We are expecting competition to be very high since this tournament will determine who will qualify for the main trials for the Zone VI Darts Championships to be held in Pretoria, South Africa, from 28 August to 2 September 2012.
“For one to be considered for the main trials, a player should be ranked in top 15 in the men’s category and top ten in the women category.
“The players will then eliminate each other to be in the national team.
“We are urging the darts fraternity and the community in Bulawayo to come and support us at this year’s Easter finals.” Moyo said.
