No free points at Shabanie Mine

Masomere said while the Green Machine were a very strong side that should be good enough to win the league this season, they will have a bumpy ride on Sunday.
“CAPS United are a very good side and I tip them to win the league this season but not to win the league match against us on Sunday,” said Masomere.
“They have international players in Samakwere (Chris) and Darryl (Nyandoro) who played outside Zimbabwe but I have also international players in my team who are playing in Zimbabwe.
“I have read about some of their players in The Herald this week, that they have Samakwere and Nyandoro, who are known outside the borders, and I am happy that my players are not even known in Zimbabwe.
“Who knows Rukanda (Tarisai) and Mazivisa (Nelson)? Nobody! I have a bunch of average players and I am very happy because they play as a unit and do not play individual soccer.
“I am more than ready for CAPS United and I am enjoying the support here. I also enjoyed it last season and that is the reason I am hanging around Zvishavane town.”
The Shabanie fans reacted angrily last week when goalkeeper Roy Mazingi fumbled a cross from Oscar Chove into his own nets during a friendly match against Tripple B.
That reaction cheered Masomere.
“I am happy with the way the fans reacted when my ‘keeper let in the goal,” said Masomere.
“It is very good for them to push the players because Shabanie Mine fans want positive results. They are a very good lot and I am going to be with them for some time.”
Shabanie has a strong strike-force that features Caleb Masocha, Tarisai Rukanda, Francis Kanda, Raymond Sibanda, Nelson Mazivisa, Farai Mususunye and Pervington Zimunya.
Shabanie are set to receive yet another kit this afternoon.
“We are going to receive another kit which is going to be presented tomorrow (this) afternoon,” club chairman, Webster Chitonho said.
“We are also going to officially announce the new executive for the football team and also the supporters’ executive at the function.”
Shabanie struggled for sponsorship last season and had to rely on donations from members of the community.
