Tickets for Nigerian musician Davido’s debut Zimbabwean show scheduled for Belgravia Sports Club on August 29 go on sale tomorrow.
Organisers of the show said the tickets are available at Chicken Slice outlets and Spar supermarkets and ranged between $10 and $50.
The Nigerian is expected to sample new songs as well as the hit “Fans Mi”.
The new afro-beats/hip-hop fusion single featuring US rapper and Maybach Music Group artiste Meek Mill is doing well on popular music channels such as Trace, MTV Base and Channel O.
The multi-award-winning artiste will be performing in the capital on the last day of the Harare Agricultural Show, a day which is traditionally oversubscribed and action packed with many gigs.
Organised by Chipaz Promotions, the show has all the makings of a thriller as Davido is currently topping the charts with “Fans Mi”.
Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza said: “So far so good, Davido confirmed his tour of Zimbabwe and tickets will be available at selected outlets.
“The venue is Belgravia Sports Club and we want music lovers to turn up in their numbers for the gig. As organisers of the show we are done with all the paperwork and Davido is readying for his top-drawer show.”
Davido will be backed by a six-member live band as well as Zimbabwean top acts in the likes of Jay C, Trevor D, Soul Afrika and Roki.
There will also be the battle of the DJs on the turntables to be led by the likes of Otis “The Flow” Fraser, Rax, Raydizz, Nosh, Ash Stylez, Stavo and Garry B.
The line-up of DJs is rich in spark and talent as most of the DJs are either doing radio or have produced their own tracks. It is their combined interest that will make the gig a must-attend before, during and after Davido’s performance.
Born David Adeleke on November 21, 1992 to Deji
