UNITED Nations Global Leadership recipient and entrepreneur Dr Nellie Longwe Kangwa of Zambia has challenged women to protect children from the negative effects of social media and drugs.
Addressing a three-day Spiritual Business Conference in Harare on Saturday, Kangwa emphasized the power of a mother’s love and urged women to spend more time with their children, teach them and train them positively.
She also called on people not to entertain negative thoughts about their children and their nation.
“It takes nine months for God to create every part of the baby in a mother’s womb.
“Mothers bond with their babies after giving birth and that motherly love has power to detect the path of their children.
“It is pathetic to learn that some women expose their children to false prophets. Some are sexually abused, while others are polluted by social media because parents do not have time with their children.
“I am challenging women to live a prayerful life and have more time with their children. Teach your own children, train your own children and it will change their lives.
“Engage them all the time and speak positively about them for them to succeed,” she said.
Kangwa said if one fails to be relevant in this present generation, that person will not make it in the next generation.
“Pray for peace, work for your families, and expand to other nations,” said Kangwa.
Women who participated in the conference also exhibited their business products, fasted, prayed, and exchanged notes.
