Del Boy blasts Tyson

LONDON.
Heavyweight boxer Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora says Tyson Fury is “all boots and braces but no substance”, following comments the 22-year-old made after his latest victory.
Fury is next in line for a shot at the Lonsdale strap, and said he would flatten the British champion after stopping Marcelo Luiz Nascimento in the 5th round of their contest at the Wembley Arena.
The Manchester fighter also accused “Del Boy” of running scared, despite the fact he is preparing to face Wladimir Klitschko for the WBO, IBO and IBF world titles in April.
They were due to fight in December, but the bout had to be rescheduled when the Ukrainian suffered a torn abdominal muscle.
Chisora replaced Sam Sexton in his British title fight with Danny Williams in May, and dispatched him in two rounds before defending his titles against the man he originally replaced.
He out-boxed Sam Sexton for most of nine rounds in September and did enough to earn a shot at Klitschko – as David Haye dealt with the “threat” of Audley Harrison.
The Finchley man watched on from crowd as Fury keep his unbeaten record intact, but remains unconvinced by the hype surrounding him.
And although he made his feelings towards the 6′ 9″ giant quite clear, he welcomed the proposal of a fight.He said: “I was at Wembley on Saturday night to see Fury knock over some unknown Brazilian in front of a handful of people and it told me nothing other that I will never waste my time going to watch Fury again.
“Tyson can continue knocking over unknown Brazilians, or make embarrassing attempts to bring old men like Frans Botha over here to pad out his record, but the fact remains if he wants to be a real champion then he’ll have to wait for me to either become world champion or – if I’m beaten as he says I will be – for me to defend my titles against him.”Fury is the mandatory contender for the British title – I know that.
And if he wants to win the title he will have to win it against me.
“But if he thinks he’s the real deal then he should show me some respect and wait for his chance like I’ve had to wait for Klitschko. If he needs a fight he should fight the likes of Sam Sexton, Richard Towers or the man who beat him in the amateurs, David Price – all young and fresh heavyweights with ambition.
“No one is fooled by wins over people like Nascimento or having the desire to fight the likes of Botha, such fights show a lack of respect for the sport and for a former world champion.”
He came out with a stupid statement saying that I’m only fighting Klitschko because I’m scared of him. How can he say that I’m only fighting for the world title to get a big payday rather than face him in a defence of the British and Commonwealth titles that are mine? “My message is loud and clear.
