Delay isn’t denial

Pauline Matanda

“WE were saved in hope. If we see what we hope for, that is not hope. Who hopes for what they already see? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” — Romans 8:24-25.

Faith tells me to be patient. It encourages me to be hopeful, to hold on drawing strength from the Lord and lean on His spirit.

In life we go through many challenges, but we should remain hopeful knowing these are passing phases.

The moment we lose hope, we are doomed!

Faith is believing what the Lord said concerning our life to be true, whatever time it will take to manifest. Anything contrary to that word is false.

In this life, there are seasons and none is permanent.

Right now we are in winter, it is cold, but in no time we will be in summer enjoying the sunshine and dancing in the rain.

Everything the Lord does for His children is for their good. You may not understand it now, but you will realise in the fullness of time.

Remember all things work together for good to those who love and fear the Lord.

Whichever strategy God uses, it is to your advantage.

Learn to trust Him. David’s role being a shepherd and spending his life in the forest with wild animals was actually preparing him for war against Goliath.

Jesus’ delayed arrival during the time when his friend Lazarus lay sick might have made people, including his sisters, Mary and Martha, doubt the Messiah’s love.

Unbeknown to them, this was in preparation for an amazing miracle.

Delay is not denial.

Hold on, Christ is coming through for your situation.

Hold on Lazarus; you are not in the grave to stay, on the fourth day Christ is coming to call you out.

On your way to Canaan you will pass through the wilderness, but the wilderness is not your destination; Canaan is the place.

Even if I “pass through” the valley of the shadow of death; Yes, David, you are right, you are just passing through.

The end of it all is good; you will realise sooner than later that the delay was just a preparation for you to blossom.

You might be in the valley of weeping but you are not there to stay. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.

Now is your morning.

I say good morning to your life. Good morning to your health. Good morning to your marriage. Good morning to your career. Good morning to your business. Good morning to your children.

I speak a new beginning to everything that concerns you.

It is a new dawn, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
