DEMBARE BIDS FAREWELL TO SUPER FAN DZUKWA

FOR Felix Dzukwa, Dynamos was the ultimate football club of his dreams.

It was a love affair made in heaven but, sadly, he won’t be there when his Glamour Boys finally add to their record-breaking number of 22 league championships.

The dreadlocked DeMbare fan died in Harare on Wednesday.

Colleagues have been sending their condolence messages online.

Only last month, Dzukwa celebrated his latest birthday and even thanked those who had congratulated him online.

He is a former chairman of the Harare Chapter of the Dynamos Supporters groups found across the country.

“He was a true DeMbare son and his love affair with our club was a genuine one,” said a fellow fan.

“He was a leader of us, as fans, and he did a lot to co-ordinate support for our club around the country.

“He was a good guy and he will be missed by us because he was one of us.”

Unlike today’s generation of the Glamour Boys fans, Dzukwa was lucky to live during a period when DeMbare were the dominant force on the domestic football front.

He was there when the Glamour Boys completed their four straight league titles under the guidance of Kalisto Pasuwa between 2011 and 2014.

He was also a proud witness as DeMbare came within winning one game to become champions of African football in 1998.
