DOC Vikela and Bhutisi’s comedy night show, which had been set for Rainbow Towers tomorrow, has been postponed to April 27 due to renovations taking place at the venue.
The duo launched their national comedy tour, dubbed “Comedy Junta,” on March 28 in Triangle.
This weekend they were set to perform in Harare.
However, the show has been deferred.
“To our valued comedy fans: We regret to inform you of the postponement of our Harare comedy show ‘Comedy Junta’ originally scheduled for April 6th, 2024 at the Rainbow Towers VIP Lounge.
“This was due to the unexpected closure of the Rainbow Towers Hotel for renovations.
“However, we have rescheduled the show for April 27th, 2024, at the same venue,” said the duo in a statement.
The pair added:
“We greatly appreciate your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
‘Thank you for your patience and continued support.
“We hope to see you at the rescheduled show on April 27th, and promise to deliver an experience that will make you laugh and forget all about this temporary setback.
“Until then, keep on smiling and remember, laughter is the best medicine.”
The pair is billed to hold a double at Courtauld Theatre, Mutare on April 13.
On Independence Day, they are set to hold another show at Cotton Lounge in Bulawayo.
More shows have been lined up in Victoria Falls, Gweru, and Norton before they adjourn in May.
