SPORTS teacher, Beauty Tembeni, has had a turbulent few months.
She found herself being dragged into a love triangle which then created a scandal which spilled onto the public domain.
She was shamed as the woman who was wrecking the marriage of her lover, Ronald Zigora, and wife Lovelyn Zigora.
She insists that she is a victim as she was lured into the relationship by Ronald after he lied to her that he was divorced and was in the process of looking for someone to settle down with.
Beauty maintains that she fell for the trick because she also genuinely wanted someone whom she could settle down with and start a family as husband and wife.
She says that is the reason why they even planned to marry each other and set a date for the marriage.
We are not really sure whether Beauty’s testimony provides us with the true version of the picture related to her relationship with Ronald.
That’s her story and while we have no reason to doubt it, it’s also true that it has not been tested for us to establish if it is the true version of what was happening.
Ronald has not commented on the mess he created and he is the only person who can test Beauty’s testimony and, if there are any holes in the story, highlight them.
What we know though is that this is a story we have heard before and it has a familiar ringing tone to it.
Beauty now claims she was extorted and abused for her relationship with Ronald and points the finger at Lovelyn.
However, she was the one who was charged with cyberbullying after Beauty filed a police report against her.
After the story appeared in the media, there were consequences for Beauty as her employers asked her to step aside and go and sort out her mess.
We can understand their decision because, given that her employers are a school, they had to act quickly to ensure that their good name was not dragged through the mud by all the negativity associated with this drama.
Now, Beauty has been acquitted and that is a big victory for her because she is now likely to return to work since it has been established that she did not commit any crime.
She is an adult woman and she is allowed to have romantic relationships even though she knows that doing so with a married man has consequences, which could affect her at work.
She claims she was sold a lie that her boyfriend was divorced and that should save her from accusations that she was in this relationship to try and destroy a marriage.
This is a tricky case and while Beauty has some relief, she has learnt it the hard way that she should be careful about the kind of person she dates because this could affect her profession and destroy her reputation.
