VINCENT Chawonza has tendered his resignation as secretary-general of the Dynamos Football Club Development Committee.
H-Metro has learnt that Chawonza will now focus on the sponsorship and development of junior football.
He feels junior football has been neglected by the corporate world and football authorities.
Chawonza recently sponsored the ZIFA Harare Province Open Gold Trophy won by BN Academy, and pledged to sponsor other organised junior tournaments countrywide.
He indicated that he would not be completely lost to Dynamos by continuing to assist the club’s juniors.
“I would like to tender my resignation as the secretary-general of the Dynamos Football Club Development Committee with immediate effect,” he wrote in his resignation letter.
“I will be available to assist the club in any other way if need be. I would like to thank the Dynamos family for according me the opportunity to work with one of the biggest clubs in the country.
“I will always cherish those moments that we worked together.
“Future engagements are an inevitable possibility.”
Chawonza is a DeMbare son but his passion, to see the junior structures resourced in the country, has already seen him landing a hand to other clubs.
Pressing commitments, as his business continues to grow, have also been piling on the pressure.
On a number of occasions, he turned down invitations for him to join the DeMbare executive.
