Chando Kupisa appeared to have tried every trick possible in the book to contain the league champions but suffered a set back in the 34th minute when their first choice goalkeeper Prosper Chigumba was substituted after picking up an injury.
Chigumba, who was the stand in captain injured his back after he made a suicidal save, off a fine effort from Denver Mukamba.
Mukamba, who was lively during the game, received a loose ball on the left channel before unleashing a clever shot which forced Chigumba to stretch out as he parried the ball away.
Other than Mukamba, Dynamos had tried to breach the Gunners defence with Martin Vengesayi, Farai Mupasiri and Guthrie Zhokinyi missing chances.
Gunners also tried to beat Dynamos goalkeeper George Chigova from long range attempts as Munyaradzi Kunyarimwe called the tall goalkeeper into action in the 10 minute.
Midfielder Charles Mukuruva also shot at goal from outside the box but the ball curled away from target before the break.
After the breather, Dynamos took the lead when Tawanda Muparati hit the roof of the net after getting to the end of a move involving Vengesayi and Farai Mupasiri on the left.
Vengesayi laid the ball for Mupasiri to cut in a cross deep inside the box and Muparati, who was unmarked at the end of the box controlled before firing home in the 50th minute.
The goal calmed the nerves of the largely Dynamos fans and the defending league champions went further ahead in the 55th minute when Mukamba curved open the Gunner defence on the left.
Exhibiting sheer individual brilliance and confidence, Mukamba waltzed past Justice Jangano and Munyaradzi Kunyarimwe to drill the ball past Chimusoro.
Despite being two goals down, Gunners still showed some signs of life and continued to give a decent fight.
But despite their search of a goal, Gunners went further down when veteran Murape Murape engineered a move on the right and then played the ball to Mutuma.
Mutuma, who had came off the bench for Vengesayi, fed Mupasiri and the former rugby player tapped the ball home.
Mutuma, who has been misfiring in the last games, then remembered how to score when he made a powerful run on the left and then struck a powerful shot that threatened to tear the nets.
It was an emotional goal for Mutuma who had been relegated to the bench and he raced to hug his coach in celebration.
With Dynamos pretty comfortable on a 4-0 lead, Mukamba the fans a show and he played to gallery in some of the moves.
Despite a rude welcome, Chunga remained upbeat on the side’s chances of surviving relegation.
Chunga also took a shot at Mukamba for playing to the gallery.
Dynamos assistant coach Tonderayi Ndiraya said they have been trying to reign in Mukamba to be less dramatic in his play.
