DEMBARE WERE THE ONLY LOSING TEAM

Sports Reporter

SPARE a thought for the Dynamos fans.

Their Glamour Boys were the only high-profile Zimbabwean sports team to lose at the weekend.

DeMbare lost 0-2 to former champions Ngezi Platinum Stars in a Castle Lager Premiership match at Baobab on Saturday.

The game was a dress rehearsal of their meeting in the Chibuku Super Cup at the end of this month at Rufaro.

DeMbare coach Lloyd “MaBlanyo” Chigowe said his focus was on that big match rather than on this league battle.

It was a good weekend for the Warriors who sealed their qualification for the 2025 AFCON finals in Morocco after a 1-1 draw with bogey side Kenya in Polokwane.

It means the Warriors are unbeaten under German coach Michael Nees.

The Sables also finished the season unbeaten after a 27-22 Test win over South Korea.
