SEASONED gaffer, Rodwell Dhlakama, has rejected the chance to make a swift return to management after separating ways with Motsepe Foundation Championship side, Black Leopards earlier this month.
The coach is still in South Africa and his camp revealed that they have so far turned down offers from ZPC Kariba, Yadah Stars, Black Rhinos and Triangle.
They cited that they can not afford to make a rushed decision at the expense of Dhlakama’s reputation.
“We have received offers from local teams and in a different month, we could have accepted what they have tabled but to be realistic, this gamble is not worth it since all the teams have assembled the squads,” said Dhlakama’s handler.
“It’s every coach’s wish to be in the dugout but the risk is too much.
“We are going to sit back and relax and see what happens along the way but at the moment he will remain unattached.”
Last season, Dhlakama took a similar gamble when he left ZIFA Central Region Division One Soccer League side, ZPC Munyati to join ZPC Kariba.
At that time, the Kariba side were on their highway to Division One football.
Dhlakama later left the club four points above the red-zone with just three games remaining.
ZPC Kariba went on to survive relegation under the guidance of Darlington Dodo.
