Diana Samkange and Ngoni Kambarami will tonight take people down memory lane when they perform at Bar Rouge at Longcheng Plaza.
Their concert is dubbed “Old Skool Classics” and they will do some of their songs that stole the limelight a few years ago in addition to renditions of some yesteryear hits by popular artistes.
The musicians rose to fame in the urban grooves era and they will sample songs that define their journeys to their current albums.
Diana, who is popularly known as Mangwenya, will also do some songs from his current album titled Kwaedza.
The diva moved from urban grooves to come up with a special beat that fuses traditional and contemporary elements.
She said the show at Bar Rouge was the beginning of their combination that will be hinged on delivering old school music to their fans.
“We will do this at many other shows to come. We know Bar Rouge is a place for mature patrons and we want to take them down memory lane when we play some of the good music from the years gone by,” said Mangwenya.
“We have prepared for this show in a special way and it will be the beginning of bigger things to come as we pursue our theme. We are ready to present a special night to our fans and general Bar Rouge patrons.”
An official from Bar Rouge said the show will be a special treatment to their clients.
“We have discussed with Diana and Ngoni and this show will be different from other events. We are planning to host the combination on numerous occasions so that many people will experience this special arrangement.
“We invite people to come and feel vibes from some years ago as they enjoy the ambiance in the bar and specials that we will have on offer. We want to make the event memorable,” said the official.
Ngoni has promised to perform most of his hits that include “Angela”, “Bvuma” and “Ndiwe Chete”
