Discontent in Zim h/ball

FARAI Gwisai, the Zimbabwe Handball Federation’s technical director, has written a letter to the federation’s president and the executive expressing his reservations over the 18-and-Under male team coaches as he noted that they do not have the experience to lead the side at this level.

In a letter dated March 14, 2018, and addressed to the ZHF president, Stewart Sanhewe, and his executive board, Gwisai said “the currently appointed coaches are not experienced to take up this level since all of them will be their first time to take up such assignments”.

He said they might be coaches but they need to understudy first and then they can take charge of the teams later.

“I recommended some coaches to take up these teams since they have the required experience of such level of competition but it seems the vice-president (Alfos Mhondiwa) is not understanding my position.

“Let us take this issue as a matter of urgency since (the) Zone Six (championships) is around the corner and coaches need to take in charge of their teams.”
