Cosmas Konono, the man who made headlines for allegedly assaulting his best friend who wedded his ex-wife was yesterday arraigned before a Mbare Magistrates’ court for failing to comply with a protection order.
Konono (40) was sued by his ex-wife Agness Manjese after he had sent her insulting text messages and threatened to kill her.
Konono appeared before Ms Kudzai Zihove charged with failure to comply with a protection order. Konono denied the allegations.
Ms Zihove remanded him out of custody on free bail and was ordered not to interfere with witnesses. He was also ordered to reside at the address he gave to the court.
Ms Zihove deferred the matter to January 8 after Konono’s lawyer Mr Rungano Mahuni told the court he would not be available until next year as his diary was already full.
