CASMYN striker Tatenda Ushe, who leads the Zifa Southern Region Division One League top goalscorers’ chart has been described as a hard-working and disciplined star by his team manager, Ekem Makonese.
Ushe scored his 14th goal of the season on Sunday, bending the ball from outside the 18-yard box past veteran goalkeeper Winston Chiwetu in his team’s 2-0 victory over Nkayi United at Luveve Stadium.
He has been in a hot race for the golden boot award with three other strikers in the Zifa Southern Region. With this goal, Ushe now leads the charts by a goal over the chasing duo of Justin Kaunda and Mbongeni Minezhi.

Kaunda led for most of the campaign with Ushe and young Minezhi coming into the picture in the last five weekends. Minezhi turns out for Bulawayo City while Kaunda is with log leaders ZPC (Hwange).
Tinotenda Chitete has scored 12 goals for his Nkayi United. Team manager Makonese said that Ushe’s good run in the race for the scorers’ gong has boiled down to his work ethic, commitment and discipline.
“Ushe is a hard-working player, disciplined, takes training seriously and has great respect for his coaches. Being a top goalscorer comes from such attributes, as listening to advice and being obedient,” said Makonese.
