next week host prolific producer and mixer DJ Black Coffee.
DJ Black Coffee is expected to exchange notes with Bulawayo’s own spinners in a show dubbed the All Black Party next Wednesday at Horizon Pub and Restaurant in a bid to appease their loyal fans after a lacklustre performance by DJ Clock.
The show is coming to the City of Kings courtesy of Horizon, 3D Events Management Company and Heineken Larger.
Born Nkosinathi Maphumulo, DJ Black Coffee is an internationally renowned spinner who made it into the Guinness Book of World Records after performing for a consecutive 60 hours.
In an interview, one of the directors of 3D Events Management Company, Mduduzi Mdlongwa, said after DJ Clock’s poor performance they took it upon themselves to compensate the disappointed fans by inviting South Africa’s finest and celebrated spin master.
“Clock short-changed the scores of fans that turned up on Friday evening and we felt obliged to make amends by inviting Black Coffee whom we are sure will live up to his billing,” said Mdlongwa.
DJ Black Coffee is not new in the country as he once performed at Bar La bhala formerly Visions last year.
The flawless mix master would be backed by Bulawayo’s finest disc jockeys who include high flying DJ Mzoe, crowned Bulawayo’s best in the Miller Golden Circle DJs challenge held last weekend, Djembe Monks, Keezy, Kead Wikead, Joe Tha OG, Botswana based E-Dub and T-Bass from Harare.
DJ Black Coffee who lost his left arm in an accident when he was 13 stunned the world when he performed for 60 hours non-stop in a charity event to raise funds for the disabled.
During the 60-hours he was only allowed a 20-minute break per hour.
The 35-year-old maestro has travelled the world over where he has garnered a lot of support not because he is disabled but because of his excellence on the decks.
Popular hits from DJ Black Coffee are Turn me On, Izizwe, Happiness among others.
Tickets for the show are going for $20 while the VIP tickets are selling for $40 and these include free snacks and drinks courtesy of Heineken.
