ONE of Harare’s top DJs, Dee Nosh, will celebrate his birthday with Bulawayo fans at Club Eden on Friday as part of a three-day birthday tour. This will be the third time DJ Dee Nosh (real name Kudzai Matongo) will be performing at the popular spot. He will be supported by local DJs Kananjo, Slamma and Keezy.
DJ Nosh who has been holding the birthday tours for the past five years said the first leg would be in Bulawayo followed by another party at House of Sphinx in Harare on Saturday and Red Fox on Sunday.
The DJ said Bulawayo was ideal for the first leg of his birthday because it was his hometown.
“Bulawayo is not new to me, I love the city I grew up in. It has a decent chilled atmosphere and the crowd is amazing. It’s a good venue for my bash and a good way of catching up with fans there,” he said.
Dee Nosh said at 33 he had no regrets in life, save for a four-year relationship that broke down due to work commitments.
“I’m single and searching because work seems to be taking up most of my time. I just came out of a four-year relationship that broke down because of work commitments,” he said.
Besides deejaying, Dee Nosh is also a show promoter.
Kananjo said as part of the Harare DJ’s birthday bash, there would be specials for ladies.
“January has always been a tough and unfriendly month to people’s wallets so the first 100 ladies will enter for free till 11pm. Alcohol prices will be a bit lower than usual,” Kananjo said.
