ZIMBABWE Music Awards winner and music producer, DJ Stavo has been added onto the Cassper Nyovest concert line-up, replacing dancehall chanter, Souljah Love who has other shows in Bulawayo.
The show, scheduled for April 25 at Hartsfield Rugby Grounds will now feature DJ Stavo (real name Steve Sanders), Winky D, Cal_Vin, and Djembe Monks.
One of the show promoters, Dee Nosh said they had dropped Souljah Love to avoid jeopardising their event as the dancehall chanter is on record for failing to pitch up for shows.
“Soul Jah Love has been replaced because he has two shows lined up in Bulawayo during the period which Cassper is coming there.
“We felt that this would jeopardise the number of people who’ll come to our show as they would’ve had enough of him during his two shows on April 23 and 24,” he said.
DJ Stavo’s manager Prince Chihota said they were excited and promised fireworks.
The Kwekwe-based DJ who last performed in Bulawayo last year has produced tracks for South African artistes, Lolo, Wena Wedwa, Mandoza, Mnandi, Shota, Ingoma and Fiesta Black, Teka Famba.
