Some of the DJs to look forward to include DJ MC Malava — real name Arthur Maswaya — whose career started off while in Form Three before he took his talent to Tropicana, Synergy and Asylum clubs in Harare.
It was during his stint at these joints that MC Malava enhanced his spinning skills.
Then there is the suave Digital 1, born Lazarus Kabaya, who is the resident DJ at Barca Sports Bar where he plays every Tuesdays.
He has a long history in the industry after having started off his career on the turntables in 1996, playing at various joints that include Willows Night Club in Mbare, among other venues.
Another top DJ is Lloyd Muyererwa stage name — Dubber Fabulous — who like Digital 1, has been in the game for a long time.
He started spinning the wheels in 2000 at Tropicana, Asylum, Downtown and Barca in Harare.
“The aim of the show is to know who among us is the best DJ. The owner of the venue has pledged a plasma television set, a laptop and cash for the best DJ,” said Digital 1.
Some of the DJs expected to grace the clash include Satto, TK Beats, DJ Storm, Ohmz, Hotta Flex, Scatta Dem and Tipsy.
