THEREaS no smoke without fire!
After listening to rumours, something that most people advise against, a Zvishavane man demanded that his ex-wife, their supposed child and him should go for a DNA test.
Now Adolph Matondo knows he has been supporting someone elseas child disguised as his second born.
It turned out that his ex-wife Laiza Mangisi had cheated on him and later made him believe the love child was his legitimate kid.
So daring was Mangisi that after divorcing Matondo she kept demanding child support.
However, things changed when Mangisi after listening to word on the street decided to find scientific evidence to put the matter to rest.
With the truth out, Matondo applied to the courts asking to be cleared from paying maintenance for the child.
The court heard that on 29 January 2016, Mangisi dragged her ex-husband to the courts demanding maintenance for their alleged two children.
Matondo was then ordered to pay $380 monthly for the two children aged 18 and 16.
However, after hearing word that the woman had cheated on him, he decided to verify.
Suspecting that he was being taken for a ride, he then demanded DNA tests.
The results exposed the woman and presiding magistrate Shepherd Mjanja cleared Matondo from paying maintenance for the second child.
Mangisi was left with egg on her face.
