Doctor challenges churches to simplify sermons

DOCTOR Mathias Mukona has challenged gospel preachers to simplify their sermons.

The dentist said a number of preachers make their sermons too spiritual and they cannot be easily understood.

He said this on Saturday at the graduation party of Apostle Benjamin Murata of New Life Pentecostal Church.

He was conferred with an honorary doctorate degree by JIAZO Bible College University of Zambia.

“We emulate preachers who interpret the word of God into people’s daily life,” said Dr Mukona.

“Apostle Murata has simplified the gospel and that is why the church is growing in terms of the numbers of people.

“He is helping orphans, ploughing the land as a farmer, employing job seekers at his security and housing trust companies.

“He has changed people’s lives by giving them their daily needs other than casting out demons which are not visible.

“The conferment of doctorate degree is a result of his practical word of life,” said Dr Mukona.
