Dodo a happy man as ZPC win

ZPC Kariba coach Darlington Dodo says his boys have grown in confidence after beating Triangle 1-0 in a Castle Lager Premiership match at the National Sports Stadium yesterday.

Former Dynamos player Tinotenda Chiunye scored the only goal of the game. 

“It’s good for us. I think we started well this season, the confidence is growing, the boys are now believing and this is exactly what we want.

“We just wanted a good start and then the confidence will grow and I think they’re doing that exactly that.

“We won the game in the first half because we came with a very good attitude, all the other games our first half was not that good.”

He added:

“But today we were good because we gave the opponents problems.

“We attacked, we created chances, some we couldn’t just convert.

“Tino has been in the league, he played for Dynamos and CAPS, he was first with us and then he came back.

“The boy is just coming up. It’s all about discipline, listening, appreciating what the coach is telling you.

“When you’re a professional player and you listen an appreciate, you become better, you grow and enjoy your game.”

ZPC have now collected seven points from four matches. 

Triangle assistant coach Thomas Ruzive said: 

“Considering this is a new team and we are playing away from home, I think the guys did very well.

“We just slept on the wheel in the early minutes.

“I think their approach in the early minutes was our main problem because they were slow to react.”
