THE company behind the all-women Doek & Slay parties, Event Hulks, has been named the Promoter of the Year at the National Arts Music Awards.
Event Hulks said they are honoured to see their project being recognised as a product of excellence.
Doek & Slay was officially launched in November last year.
“When we introduced Doek and Slay, it was about creating a legacy, honouring all the women while creating a safe space for them.
“We are completely overwhelmed with gratitude and joy.
“Winning the Best Promoter of the Year award at the NAMA Awards is a tremendous honour and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team at Event Hulks.
“But most importantly, this award belongs to all the incredible QUEENS who have supported and attended Doek & Slay events.
“Your energy, enthusiasm and love for our brand have been the driving force behind our success. We are forever grateful for your loyalty and trust in us.
“As the team behind Doek & Slay, Event Hulks is proud to have created a platform where women can come together, connect and celebrate each other’s uniqueness.
“We are committed to continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible.”
Last year, Doek & Slay grew to become the biggest outdoor musical event in the country.
It attracts thousands of women across the country.
The women slay in different shades of styles.
“As we look to the future, we are excited to announce that we’re working on a new and improved Doek & Slay experience.
“We’re promising a unique set-up and even more quality on our next event. Our team is working tirelessly to ensure that our QUEENS have an unforgettable experience.

The first party this year will be at the Odyssey in Kadoma on March 30 with Freeman and The Travellers Band providing the entertainment.
It will then move to Mutare Sports Club on April 6 where the patrons will be entertained by Freeman and Master H.
Then, it will roll into Harare on April 13 with performances from Intotal Band, Feli Nandi, Winky D and Iyasa.
Gweru ladies will have their share of the fun on April 27 with Freeman and Master H providing the entertainment.
The last party of the first phase of the year will be at the ZITF Main Arena, Bulawayo on May 4 with Master H, The Travellers Band and Iyasa providing the entertainment.
