A Hillside man’s drunken rage turned a volume knob dispute into a full-blown domestic horror show — complete with shattered glass, belt lashes, and a morning of terror for his trapped wife.
On 23 March 2025, Evens Musaiwa (30) rolled home drunk, blasting music like a nightclub. When his wife, Nobuhle Moyo begged him to turn it down, he refused — so she LOCKED him in the guesthouse**, cut the power, and went to bed.
At 6am the next day, Musaiwa smashed the guesthouse window, crawled out like an action movie villain, stormed into the main house, and punched + belt-whipped his sleeping wife “all over her body” in a brutal payback attack.
Musaiwa pleaded guilty to assault and got away got off with just a slap on the wrist; US$100 fine (or 30 days in jail (if broke), a 3-month suspended sentence (only if he does not attack her again in 5 years).
