MUTARE-BASED gospel singer, Dorcas Moyo, has castigated social media imposters, who are using her name, to dupe innocent people.

Her sentiments come after a poster, purporting to be from her, is circulating on social media.

The poster is indicating she has assumed the title “Prophetess Dorcas Moyo” and she is begging for funds.

“It is devastating to note that some unscrupulous people, among ourselves, have the audacity and courage to use other people’s names, and brands, to prejudice innocent and unsuspecting people, of their hard-earned money.

“I am personally perturbed about such actions. 

“I would like to encourage my fellow people to be on the lookout for such social misfits. 

“I want to appeal to everyone to pursue honest ways of making a living and desist from unholy practices.

“It is my prayer that God will bring light upon them and that one day they repent from their wickedness.

“I am greatly disappointed with people who are asking for funds using my name.

“I am distancing myself from the fake social Facebook account, mine is Dorcas Moyo.

“I have also established that there is a WhatsApp number being used under my name by unscrupulous individuals soliciting for money.

“I was informed by various stakeholders, which includes promoters, and a number of fans in my official social media groups,” she said.
