UK-BASED songbird, Lil Jam, started her maiden tour of Africa on a high note last Saturday in Botswana.

The young singer, popular for the song ‘Fresh on the Scene,’ performed in front of several kids at the Serene View Gardens in Gaborone.

Her African tour has four shows lined up and, with the opener already done, the other three are slated for South Africa.

She is billed to perform in Port Elizabeth this Friday, then Cape Town on Saturday, and the curtain comes down on Sunday in Johannesburg.

Speaking to H-Metro, her manager, who also happens to be her father, Jah Hanief, said:

“We are really excited that her tour started on a good note.

“It’s her first time performing in Africa and it means so much to her.

“I want to thank all people who came for the show in Gaborone, it was special.

“We still have three more shows, in three days, this coming weekend and then we are back to the UK.

“We are looking forward to a great time,” he said.
