Don’t forget your kids, pay $70k a month, Forget ordered

A HARARE man has offered $70 000 maintenance for his three minor children.

Forget Kamumvuri was brought to the Harare Civil Court by his ex-wife, Cecilia Magonga.

Cecilia demanded US$300 for the three children aged 13,10 and seven years.

“I propose that he pays US$300 for the upkeep of the children and cover rentals, groceries and medical expenses.”

But Forget defended his offer, saying he does not earn a lot.

“I will give her $70 000 and she will pay school fees using that amount,” he said.

Magistrate Ayanda Dhlamini told Forget that things do not work like that, and the order for him, to pay half of the school fees, still stands.
