BETHSAIDA Apostolic Church has suffered a DOUBLE BLOW with the deaths of their founder and the wife of one of their senior leaders.
Church founder Archbishop Loveless Manhango, died just a day after Priest Mafukidze’s wife passed on.
Priest Mafukidze is one of the church’s senior leaders.
Archbishop Manhango founded the church in 1952 at Chiwiriri Village.
He was 104.
According to the church doctrine, mourners are not allowed to shed tears but celebrate life lived by the departed souls.
Archbishop Manhango is expected to be buried on November 16 while Priest Mafukidze’s wife was buried yesterday in Njanja.
Some of the church members are gathered at Archbishop Manhango’s house in Greystone Park.
Other church members travelled to Njanja for Priest Mafukidze’s wife’s burial.
“We are just celebrating the life of our leaders.
“On Sunday we will be allowed to bid farewell to our founder at a church service in Kuwadzana.
“Burial is expected to be conducted on November 16 at Chiwiriri in Njanja,” said one of the senior church leaders.
Priest Mafukidze is the administration chairperson of Bethsaida Apostolic Church and a number of senior church leaders attended his wife’s burial.
