ANDY Muridzo and superstar Alick Macheso are currently in the studio working on a new song.
The two camps, which had a successful family show on New Year’s Day at Jongwe Corner in Harare, enjoy cordial relations.
They have also lined up a series of shows at the end of this month as they cement their relationship.
However, the new single, which they are recording, is likely to raise the appeal of Baba Keketso’s forthcoming album, due for release in August.
Speaking to H-Metro, through brand manager, Ronald Mujuru, Muridzo’s camp confirmed the developments.

“Andy is currently in the studio working on a new single with Baba Sharo called Mapikepike.
“The beat was developed by producer Ghost Magician and we are developing it at Alema Studios, owned by Alick Macheso.
“After convincing him to do a collaboration, Baba Sharo invited us to his studio where he is laying the bass guitar lines and vocals.
“It’s a unique concept that we are using to win the hearts of fans who have been longing for such a product,” he said.
With the production of the single almost done, says Mujuru, the camp believes they will meet the targets.
“So far, we are done with six songs, excluding this project with Baba Sharo.
“It is our hope that before we release the album in August, we will be done.
“We want to come up with a well-knit album as well as beautiful visuals so that people will certainly enjoy.
“As for the new song with Baba Sharo, we are yet to decide whether to shoot its accompanying video or not.”
Mujuru told H-Metro the two camps were ready to hold a series of shows together.
“The last time we shared the stage with them was on 1 January this year in Harare. We are going to hold another show with him in Bulawayo on the 31st of March.
“We have another gig together on Fools Day in Gwanda, which will be our second gig, next weekend,” said Mujuru.
Meanwhile, the crooner is billed to perform at Sherwood Golf Club on Friday before holding another show at Majestic Nite Club in Budiriro this Saturday.
There are also plans for the two camps to hold regional and international shows together.
