Downwards variation plea not granted

A TAXI driver who pleaded for downward variation of the $140 he was paying as maintenance had his plea dismissed after the court learnt that he was in arrears since March.Power Hazvienzani and his wife, Margaret Chikuni appeared before Mutare magistrate, Mr Langton Mukwengi.

In his ruling, Mr Mukwengi said: “Your application for downwards variation is hereby dismissed. You need to settle your arrears first then maybe the courts may consider your plea for downwards variation.”
