DPM Mutambara to open National Customer Service Week

began on Monday.
The main aim of National Customer Service Week is to enhance organisations’ commitment to customer service excellence.
National Customer Service Week is an extension of the International Customer Service Week, which was initiated by the International Customer Service Association in 1988.

The event has traditionally been celebrated in the first full week of October and has become a global week to celebrate and promote customer service excellence and to appreciate the role of customers in business growth and sustainability.
Customer Services Week organising committee chairman Mr Herbert Nkala said a number of companies have taken initiative to improve on their customer care. These include Telecel, DHL and CBZ among others.

The Minister of Economic Planning and Investment Promotion, Tapiwa Mashakada, will be the guest of honour at the Customer Service Week dinner to be held tomorrow, where guest speakers will include customer service guru Mr Rod Jones and local motivational speaker Mr Milton Kamwendo.

Mr Nkala said the South African delegation arrived in the country yesterday, while the representatives of Indian software company Drishti-Soft arrived in the country on Sunday and have been actively engaging some local firms for possible business opportunities.

Drishti-Soft is an innovator of Contact Centre Software and Enterprise Communications Applications.
The Drishti representatives earlier this week paid a courtesy call on the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.
