Dr Grace Mugabe honoured in song

Dancehall outfit Final Warning has released a song for First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe, entitled “Dr G Mugabe For Women’s League Secretary”.The songs which suggests how Zimbabweans should rally behind the First Lady was released last week. Speaking to The Herald Entertainment, Final Warning front man Prosper Dembedza aka Proda said the song is in honour of Dr Mugabe because she is a woman of integrity. “We are supporting people’s initiative of endorsing her to be the Secretary of the Women’s League,” he said.

He said it shows that people have faith in her as she has assisted a number of people in the country.

“She is taking care of orphans in the country among other motherly duties she is performing and that shows that she is a mother of the whole nation,” he added. In the song the crew encourages people to support Dr Mugabe in her efforts to unify the party.

“Her call for unity is very important and that alone people must honour her. . .tamirira December tiise bhora mumambure makugadzwa takuimba hip hip hooray,” goes part of the song. Dembedza congratulated her for her academic achievements.

“This is a reflection of a true African woman and young stars should learn from her,” he said.

Final Warning has released a number of revolutionary songs including “Yahwina Zanu Zanu”, “Zim-Asset”, “Independence”, and “Lets honour our Heroes” among other songs.
