A HARARE woman approached the Civil Court seeking a protection order against her son, who she accused of harassing her when he gets drunk.
Grace Shoko told magistrate Tamara Chibindi that her son, Manetswanei Shoko, becomes a nuisance when he is drunk.
She also said Manetswanei insults her and other people. He also breaks windows whenever he is drunk.
“I stay at a police camp and l was ordered to evict him from the camp or I will be evicted too since he was becoming a problem to everyone.
“I then decided to rent a house for him in Epworth and bought property for him.
“What was left for him was to get a job, but he now spends the whole day sitting with mushikashika people,” said Shoko.
“I am ready to assist him whenever he has a problem, but I don’t want him to come to my place.”
Manetswanei did not oppose to the application, and magistrate Chibindi granted Shoko the order and told Manetswanei to stop harassing his mother or going to her place of residence.
