Kwekwe promoter targets youngsters

Kwekwe-based music promoter, Raymond Chinouya, says he is targeting young talent nationwide.

The 40-year-old has promised to assist young artists get exposure.

Raymond believes that he can work with young talent to help them grow the Zimbabwean entertainment industry.

Speaking to H-Metro, Raymond said he is set to embark on a movement to benefit young artists through promoting their music.

“The whole idea is to get the artists recognised nationwide, and I am willing to work with talented and focused people for a major growth.

“My biggest interest is to support the young talent. I have been a promoter in Kwekwe supporting young singers. That is my main goal,” he said.

Raymond said before he became a music promoter, he was a DJ at Cosmo Sounds in his early 20s.

“My motivation of being a promoter came when I was in my 20s.

I am looking forward to extending the support to other cities nationwide,” he said.

Raymond said besides being the owner of King Ray Promotions, he is also a mine engineer by profession.
