Harare residents living on the north to the western side of the city and the Central Business District are facing water shortages following a pipe burst at the distribution centre in Warren Park, the local authority has announced.
In a statement, the council notified residents of a major water pipe burst at the Warren Control water distribution point which supplies water to the north-western side of the city.
“As a result, the supply of water has been affected in areas like CBD, Warren Park, Dzivarasekwa, Westlea and Avondale. Our engineers are working flat out on the pipe burst with a target of restoring supplies soon.
“The City of Harare would like to apologise for the inconveniences caused,” reads the statement.
