IT’S December, so the build-up to Christmas is well and truly underway.
And, a world of themed entertainment is being laid on for DStv viewers of all ages.
To make it an even better time, a series of Open Windows has been made available to allow even more people to enjoy some of the highlights being broadcast throughout the festive season.
Charity Njanji, head of corporate affairs and public relations of MultiChoice Zimbabwe, said Open Windows allow subscribers enjoy time with access to channels not normally available on their packages, at no extra charge.
“Why do we have Open Windows? Because the festive season is about more joy, more stories and more time with loved ones, and these initiatives allow all that to happen,” she said.
“The Open window is also aimed at giving variety in terms of content and genres on offer.”
Between Saturday and yesterday, the SuperSport Premier League, SuperSport Action and SuperSport Football Plus channels were open to subscribers of DStv Access and gave football fans a chance to catch memorable matches like Arsenal-Everton and the Manchester Derby between United and City.
From Friday to January 5, children are enjoying the treat in which DStv Access subscribers are enjoying a world of adventure with the Cartoonito, Moonbug, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Nick JR and NickToons channels packed full of festive fun.
“Highlights include the SpongeBob Christmas Special on Nick Jr, Bugs Bunny Builders on Cartoonito and the magic of Lego Star Wars: Holiday Special on Disney,” said Njanji
“This will be an early and long-running Christmas present giving holiday magic made just for the young ones, and for mums and dads, too.”
Subscribers to DStv Access are also enjoying film marathons on MovieRoom, TNT Africa, Kix, Studio Universal, M-Net Movies 3, AXN Movies, Cinemundo HD and Star Movies, all of which are adding a range of festive treats to their usual top-notch fare.
The DStv’s Holiday Channel will be up and running until January 3, with even more feel-good content to keep the festive cheer alive and available to all subscribers from DStv Access up.
“The key to having access to all of this will be to be up to ensure you remain connected, so it’s a time for reconnections and upgrades to give the whole family an additional Christmas present,” said Njanji.
