Duo brutally murders Good Samaritan

IN a shocking display of violence, two men have each been slapped with a 30 year prison sentence after killing a man who dared to intervene in their heated fight, with one stabbing the victim with a homemade knife and the other hitting him with a metal rod leading to his death.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) in a statement on X, said “Montrose Ncube and Innocent Dickson Sibanda were arraigned before the High Court sitting at Gweru on murder charges. The first accused person was 36 years old whilst the second accused was 20 years old at the time the offence was committed.
“On the 28th of May 2021 at around 2000 hours the first and second accused persons were engaged in a physical fight against one Lovemore Mangisi and the deceased’s sisters. The now deceased came and restrained them from fighting. Whilst the now deceased was talking to the second accused person, the first accused person stabbed him with a homemade Columbian knife once on the head. The deceased went to his room where the second accused followed and struck him with a metal rod several times on the head leading to his death. The second accused dragged the deceased’s body to a nearby grassy area where he dumped it. A Police report was made leading to the arrest of the accused persons.
