After teasing fans with the single Nguwe Wedwa a few months ago, faithful followers of Afro soul sensation Berita Khumalo will have to wait for the dawn of the new year before they can get a full taste of her latest project which has been pushed back to the start of 2017.
While Songs of Empowerment earned her the respect of older and mature music lovers for her ability to stand comfortably beside such legends as Bra Hugh and Tuku, Berita is now looking to reinvent herself yet again with her yet to be named latest offering.
Berita announced on her Facebook last week that, after a discussion with her mother, her album was finally done.
a?I was chatting to my mum last night and she asked me when the new album is coming because she knows Iave been in the studio the past few months. Well, Iam proud to say the album is done. It captures the best of me, I cannot wait to share,a? the post read.
However, being the perfectionist that she is, she said that she would not be releasing the album to capitalise on the December rush but instead would wait for the dawn of the new year so she could give it the proper push that it deserved.
a?After sitting with my team we decided to move the album release to 2017 because we want to give you the best experience from the single releases, album promotion and the shows. Iam convinced 2017 will be my best year yet,a? the post said.
