TELECOMS giant Econet Wireless yesterday launched its customer service charter in Bulawayo to mark a week-long educational programme about its services in the city.

Through its charter, Econet commits itself to providing quality services, a platform for enforcement of respect of confidentiality rights and setting the tone for a clear outline of the company’s products and services. Econet spokesperson Rangarirai Mberi said the organisation was engaging customers countrywide seeking to strengthen business ties.

“Through the road shows, we’re engaging with our customers countrywide, listening to their feedback and sharing with them our plans to improve our services to them,” he said.

“Yesterday (Tuesday) we had a road show at Egodini terminus in Bulawayo, today (yesterday) the road show will be at Sekusile shops in Nkulumane, Cowdray Park on Thursday, TM Hyper on Friday and Pumula on Saturday.”

Mberi said Econet first launched the charter last month in Harare and was spreading the programme across the country. Scores of Econet subscribers and members of the public witnessed the events and participated in the road show.
