National Assembly by-elections in Marondera Central, Mbire and Epworth were held incident-free yesterday, with results expected today. The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission says 7 382 voters in Marondera had cast their ballots by 2pm, while 5 000 and 9 442 had by noon voted in Mbire and Epworth, respectively.

Marondera deputy constituency election officer Mr Stewart Zvavambire said all wards had adequate voting material, with his counterparts Mrs Agnela Kamukombe (Mbire) and Mr Taurai Gavi (Epworth) expressing satisfaction with the polls.
