EBENEZER, thus far the Lord has taken us.
As we celebrate 2025, let us reflect on the journey we have travelled from birth. We have celebrated victories and grown in ways we never imagined, though we face challenges here and there.
Today, my message to you is: “Give yourself permission to live a big life.”
Living a big life means embracing the fullness of who you are. It is about stepping into the identity that God has designed for you.
It is easy to fall into the trap of playing small, of letting fear and doubt dictate your actions.
But I urge you to stop playing small.
You are created for greatness and your purpose is significant in this world. Yes, I repeat, your purpose is significant.
In Jeremiah 29:11, we read: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God has a vision for our lives that is bigger than we can comprehend. He invites us to trust in His plans and to take bold steps towards our destiny.
As business leader Thomas Lusiyano wisely stated in a recent message on LinkedIn, “Yet our own hearts cannot fathom who we are; it is more important to believe what God says you are and what He says about you.”
Often, we underestimate our potential and the greatness that lies within us.
This year, let us commit to believing in God’s truth about ourselves. God sees you not only as you are but as who you are meant to be. When you embrace this truth, you free yourself from the limitations of fear and doubt.
Practical ways to step into your greatness
Reflection: Take time to reflect on your gifts and passions. What makes your heart come alive? God has placed these desires within you for a reason.
Affirmation: Speak God’s truth over your life daily. Remind yourself that you are capable, worthy and destined for greatness.
Action: Step out of your comfort zone.
Whether it is pursuing a new opportunity, starting a project or serving others, take that leap of faith.
Community: Surround yourself with those who uplift and encourage you. Together, we can inspire one another to reach our fullest potential.
As we go through 2025, carry this message in your hearts: “You are meant for greater things”.
The year 2024 has been a testament to our resilience and growth, but it is just the beginning.
Embrace the big life that awaits you; step into who you are meant to be and trust in God’s plans for your future.
Let us pray for the courage to live boldly, for the wisdom to understand our true selves and for the strength to pursue the life God has called us to.
May 2025 be a year of transformation, impact and greatness in our lives. Amen.
