EMCOZ Annual Congress and AGM kicks off in Bulawayo

The 43rd Annual Congress and AGM of the Employers’ Confederation of Zimbabwe (EMCOZ) has kicked off in Bulawayo.

The two-day event will run under the theme: “Social Dialogue for Economic and Social Transformation.”

Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Edgar Moyo is set to deliver a keynote address and officially open the event.

The event will tackle the impact of measures in the monetary policy review on business: way forward, negotiating social contracts during crisis (economic shocks, pandemics, consensus building strategies in multi-stakeholder forums, unpacking Occupational Health and Safety Bill, Labour Law Reforms: challenges faced when terminating employment contracts on notice: validity of employment contract with notice clause.

As well as innovative ways to embrace entrepreneurial culture, and future of work in the platform economy: way forward, among other topics.

EMCOZ is a membership organisation which promotes and protects the interests of employers and workers in Zimbabwe. They lobby government on national policies, practices and standards on labour, employment and socio-economic issues.
