Enough in the basket for festive season: CZR

THE Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CZR) has allayed fears by the public that a shortage of basic commodities is looming owing to demand that is likely to surge during the festive season.

CZR president Mr Denford Mutashu said not only are they ensure that there is adequate supply of basic commodities, but their prices will also remain stable.

“As the Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers, we wish to assure the people of Zimbabwe of the sufficient availability of key basic commodities across the country throughout the Christmas and New Year holidays.

 

“We have already engaged manufacturers and suppliers of the required merchandise to ensure that they produce enough and that it is also available at affordable prices,” he said.

Mr Mutashu urged consumers not to horde goods as this may trigger panic buying and create artificial shortages.
