Nyazura Hotel
Situated about 40 kilometres from Mutare and along the Harare-Mutare Highway, the entertainment joint will tonight (Friday) reverberate into sound as the late Leonard Dembo’s son, Tendai who leads the Barura Express, will be performing there.
The family show will start at 12 noon till late. Tendai is expected to belt out hits that made Leonard a household name in the early and mid-90s such as ‘Chitekete’, ‘Mazano’, ‘ZiiiZii’, ‘Kukura hakutane’ and ‘Madhiri’. He says he will also play some of his popular compositions such as ‘Chemedzai’, ‘Rufu’, ‘Changu’ and ‘Chemedzai’.
Club Mandisa
Harare-based Afro-jazz diva, Ammie Jamanda returns to her favourite hunting ground away from home as she meets her fans in Mutare in a double header.
She will perform tonight and tomorrow.
As part of the Heroes holidays, the club hosts Bundu Legacy Band led by Eriah Tembo who will perform on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
Chitsa Bar
After performing elsewhere, afro jazz artiste, Ammie Jamanda will meet her fans for a performance at the joint situated in Dangamvura.
She will perform on Sunday and the potentially explosive show starts at 5pm.
Resident deejays Spillz and Wizzy will entertain revellers throughout the weekend and during the Heroes Holidays.
Dhunza Bar
One of Dangamvura’s popular joints hosts a fun-filled and potentially explosive holidays dubbed ‘Heroes Splash’ where DJs Rumbledon, Stixx and ShamieD will perform from tonight till next week on Wednesday. Patrons will be treated to indigenous and exotic booze as well as braai. All shows start at 1pm.
Villa Spot
The joint, fondly known as The Guzzlers Paradise, will this weekend see after-sought wheel spinners, Famous, Zincyard and Breeze taking turns to entertain revelers.
DJ Candyman will then take over for a day-long old skool session.
The watering hole which recently introduced the Ladies Night session saw erotic dancers Alisha and Narrow Queens putting up a memorable act recently.
Micasa
The packed Heroes itinerary will see imbibers and patrons having six consecutive days of diluted fun starting with Friday and Saturday grooving sessions led by old and new skool DJs Frazer and Terminator.
Jazz sensation Steve Chikotie headlines the Sunday jazz night while soundmen Kartel Promotions will perform on Heroes Day.
