Entrepreneurship Matters

The theory and practise of entrepreneurship has been popularised by people who claim to be gurus in the area while some have even gone on to write books about it and yet they fall short of the entrepreneurship realities that brings in transformational impact in our economy.
I have personally come to learn entrepreneurship as being far from what people think it is. Entrepreneurship is pragmatically practical and largely innovative with a creative connotation.
Within the entrepreneurship jungle there is every need to be alert and focus on your lane lest you confuse others.
Those who have ultimately succeeded in their entrepreneurship journeys and those who aspire to be — must inevitably have some form of principles and strategic orientation and focus that must guide them through.
Unlike other business endeavours, entrepreneurship calls for some modicum of structure and systematic approach.
This article will focus on the Six Pack Approach to becoming an entrepreneur of impact. The same Six Pack that has transformed individuals can equally be used in propagating high voltage entrepreneurs.
The six pack focuses on these, discovering yourself, reordering yourself, emerging, networking, continuously improving and transcend.
Our country can only be taken forward by highly impactful entrepreneurs and this is the thrust of these articles to stimulate the entrepreneur within for socio economic transformation.
Discovering yourself
Real and impactful entrepreneurs understand themselves better than they understand others. It is important to understand who you are as a person and the things that you can efficiently and effectively do.
This only comes when you really understand your makeup and your current position in the whole scheme of your entrepreneurship endeavours
In order for one to know where they are, they must also have an appreciation who they really are and where they intend to go. Discovering yourself entails getting into self and bring out the transformational person who lies abused within.
Until you know where you stand, you cannot effectively tell where you want to go. Entrepreneurs are so intentional and detailed in their approach to things for they would have fully comprehended where they stand.
We all know the Global Positioning System (GPS) that’s installed on most of our android phones. In order for it to effectively tell you where you want to go, it first identifies where you stand.
Even in your entrepreneurship journey you need cardinal points as to where you stand with that skill you want to use going forward. Which areas do you think you can innovate around and emerge victorious?
You must have an appreciation of your endowments for these ingredients in your impact journey.
Reordering your life
You can’t just wake up an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship is intentional. It is unlike any business that even in your old fashioned self you can find yourself in.
Once you have identified yourself in terms of the space that you currently occupy and that which you think you can fill in terms of your unique contribution in the entrepreneurship space, you need to reorder your life (self).
There is need to do a quick analysis of the resources that you have against the resources that you want in order to get where you want to go.
The process involves filling in the gaps that would have been identified on discovering yourself. You might want to be the next Bill Gates but that doesn’t just come.
You need to acquire certain skills and expertise in order for you to achieve such levels.
There is every need to know what is required on your journey to becoming an entrepreneur of impact and discipline is one of them. Entrepreneurs of impact have one thing in common, they go beyond common sense in their thinking and execution of tasks.
Entrepreneurship entrails innovation, uniqueness and value addition, virtues that one must have as they seek to provide solutions to the socio economic challenges of the day.
Emerging
Once you have discovered yourself and reordered your life, waste no time, emerge. It is risky to emerge when you are not sure footed.
You have to emerge in an area that you are passionate about so that you don’t see the difference between work and play. There is every need to enjoy what you call work.
To emerge is to get out of or expose something. Once you’re done with your strategy as to what you want to be known for in the entrepreneurship and business circles and you are sure of the road that you want to take, there is need to make people know who you are and what you do. Entrepreneurs don’t keep to themselves.
The major reason for the existence and relevance of entrepreneurs in the market is coming up with unique and innovative solutions for the challenges people face in the market, packaging them in the form of sustainable businesses.
You will see to it that when you keep to self, no one will benefit from the solution that you have come up with?
No one benefits from a maize seed that has chosen to remain underground. It has to come out of the ground and bear fruits after its own kind.
The world is in need of solutions.
