adminpublic against dealing with Mr David Mabuwa whom he portrayed as a conman.
Madondo was not formally charged when he appeared before magistrate Mr Tendai Mahwe yesterday.
He was remanded out of custody to June 7 on his own recognition.
Madondo, however, gave notice to apply for exemption of charges on the next remand date.
According to the indictment papers Madondo and Mr Mabuwa worked together at Wallace Laboratories Pvt before the latter left in 2010.
Prosecutor Ms Sikhangele Mahlamvana alleges sometime in July 2010, after Mr Mabuwa had left the company, Madondo who was the provisional judicial manager, published a complaint against Mr Mabuwa in the local press.
The statement purported that Mr Mabuwa was still collecting money from clients on behalf of the company fully knowing that he had left Wallace Laboratories.
It is the State’s case that Madondo caused serious harm to Mr Mabuwa’s reputation.
