Exhibitors from Africa, Asia add flair to Zim Agric Show

THE 115th  Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS), which began on Monday, has drawn exhibitors from across Africa and Asia, including countries like China and Palau, a Cabinet minister has said.

Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere told a post-Cabinet media briefing in Harare yesterday that the week-long event will be officially opened on Friday by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

He said the show features five sections — Agri-produce, Tobacco, Cotton, Livestock and Commercial exhibitions — with major highlights including the National Agribusiness Conference, the ESG Conference and the Research for Agricultural Excellence and Technology Indaba.

“Cabinet noted the update on 115th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show which commenced yesterday and will run until the 30th of August 2025,” Dr Muswere said.

“The show is running under the theme “Building bridges, connecting Agriculture, Industry and Commerce”.

“The show is organised around five sections namely Agri-produce, Tobacco. Cotton, Livestock and Commercial exhibition.

“Foreign participants from South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palau and China are exhibiting at this year’s event. Major business events include the Golf Tournament, Annual ZAS Schools Quiz, Annual National Agribusiness Conference, Exhibitors cocktail, Zimbabwe Agricultural Media Awards, Environmental, Social and Governance Conference and the Research for Agricultural Excellence and Technology Indaba.

“The Show will be officially opened by His Excellency, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa this Friday.”

This year’s event runs under the theme “Building Bridges: Connecting Agriculture, Industry and Community.”
